On Saturday, November 21, the Ultimate Fighting Championship put on UFC 106 in Las Vegas with ProFighting-fans.com having a major impact on the event. In the opening fight of the night, Jason Dent took on George Sotiropolous sporting red and white shorts with "ProFighting-fans.com" listed in black across the front of his right leg. Dent's fight not only made the Spike TV broadcast of the preliminary fights, but it also was broadcast later in the night after the conclusion of the main event fight between Forrest Griffin and Tito Ortiz. Fighting in the first of a 3-fight contract, Dent looked solid in the first round defending against Sotiropolous' ground and pound before getting caught in an Armbar in the 2nd round. The highly-experienced UFC Lightweight fighter is now 19-10 in his Mixed Martial Arts career after wining his previous UFC fight by submitting The Ultimate Fighter 9 teammate Cameron Dollar at the TUF 9 finale in June.

On The Ultimate Fighter, Dent won the opening round to make it into the house before defeating Jeff Lawson via Submission in the Quarterfinals. Dent then took on eventual TUF 9 Lightweight winner Ross Pearson and lost by Unanimous Decision, but impressed UFC President Dana White enought to earn the fight with Dollar at the TUF 9 Finale.

Next up for Dent is the waiting game as he will wait to see who the UFC matches him with as well as when he will fight again. Dent trains with the Griffonrawl MMA Academy in Mentor, Ohio. ProFighting-fans.com is the MMA & UFC news & content provider for the DFN Sports Network which is also based in Ohio.
