Former WWE star Batista is headed to the MMA world, will Strikeforce sign him?

Nearly a month ago ProFighting-fans.com reported the Batista MMA rumors regarding the former WWE star training to begin a MMA career. Recently these rumors have heated up with TMZ.com even reporting that Batista would be signing with Strikeforce, the San Jose, California-based MMA promotion that is widely regarded as the biggest threat to the UFC's dominance of the MMA world. However MMA Junkie is now reporting that no deal is imminent with Strikeforce after all.

Pro Fighting Fans Editor-in-Chief stated last month that "Batista has shown an incredible aptitude for MMA in his brief training."

Bautista joined the WWE in 2002 and was one of the organization's most marketable stars, but in May he chose to leave the WWE.
