Tyler Combs out for Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson fight versus Jorge Gurgel

Combs a late scratch for fight with Gurgel on March 5 Strikeforce card in Columbus

Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson is seeing changes to their fight card once again. Sources close to the situation have told ProFighting-fans.com that Tyler "Superman" Combs (14-5) has pulled out of his fight with UFC veteran Jorge Gurgel this Saturday night. Reports are that Combs has suffered an undisclosed injury and has been scratched from the lightweight match-up with Gurgel (13-7 MMA, 3-4 UFC, 1-2 Strikeforce) scheduled for Saturday night's event in Columbus, Ohio. A call to Combs' agent has not verified nor denied the report.

A last-minute replacement for Gurgel is being sought after to salvage the fight, one of six preliminary fights scheduled for the event which takes place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus on Saturday night at 7:30 pm. Rumored replacements include Billy Vaughan, Joey Carroll and Cody Stevens according to David McKinney of GatewayMMA.com. ProFighting-fans.com has learned of at least on other possible replacement and will provide more information as it becomes available.
