Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson is setting up to be one of the biggest MMA events in the history of Columbus, Ohio as some of the top fighters in the world will do battle at Nationwide Arena on Saturday night March 5th, and ProFighting-fans.com will be providing live updates from the event. The event features two world title fights as Rafael "Feijao" Calvacante takes on MMA legend Dan Henderson for the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Championship and champ Marloes Coenen faces Liz Carmouche for the Women's Welterweight (135 lb) title. Also on the Showtime-televised portion of the fight card are Tim Kennedy vs. Melvin Manhoef in a middleweight battle and Billy Evangelista vs. Jorge Masvidal in a lightweight battle. The preliminary card for Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson features 11 Ohio-based fighters headed by welterweight prospect Roger Bowling facing Josh Thornburg. Along with Bowling, another Cincinnati-based fighter will be on the card as Jorge Gurgel faces Columbus' Billy Vaughan. Cleveland KO artist Brian "The Predator" Rogers looks for his 6th straight 1st round KO as he faces Cincinnati's Ian Rammel. In addition, Jason Freeman takes on Jason Riley, Mitch Whitsel faces Marc Cofer and J.P. Felty faces John Kuhner. We are also pleased to report that our friends at Intimidation Clothing will be sponsoring five of those fighters including Bowling, Rogers, Vaughan, Freeman and Whitesel. Intimidation is a Ohio-based MMA apparel & gear company with strong ties throughout the Midwest USA.
