Strikeforce & M-1 Global Fedor vs. Werdum Weigh Ins complete for fights on Saturday, June 26

Strikeforce & M-1 Global are set for their Fedor vs. Werdum event set for Saturday night, June 26 with the live Showtime televised fights at 10 pm ET. With a women's 145 pound championship fight scheduled, two former Strikeforce champions in action in Cung Le and Josh Thomson and a thrilling main event featuring the #1 pound for pound fighter in MMA, Fedor Emelianenko, Strikeforce and M-1 Global are set for an exciting night of fights.

The Strikeforce Fedor vs. Werdum weigh ins took place on Friday in San Jose, California. The weigh ins featured with no major surprises with the televised fight card participants all making weight without any trouble. Fedor weighed in at 229 pounds with main event opponent Fabricio Werdum at 238 pounds. Strikeforce Women's 145-lb Champion Christiane "Cyborg" Santos takes on challenger Jan Finney and former Strikeforce Middleweight champ Cung Le faces Scott "Hands of Steel" Smith in a rematch of their December 2009 fight which saw Smith score a 3rd round KO. Cyborg weighed in at 144.5 pounds with Finney at 143.5 while Le tipped the scales at 184.75 lbs with Smith at 184.75 as well. Pat Healy weighed 155.25 lbs for his fight with former Lightweight champ Josh Thomson who tipped the scales at 155.25 lbs.

The preliminary card features four fights with a 175 pound catchweight fight between Chris Cope and Ron Keslar, a welterweight featuring Bret Bergmark vs Vagner Rocha and a middleweight bout between Gareth Joseph and Yancey Medeiros. The first fight of the night saw the only real issue at weigh ins with Derrick Burnsed a bit heavy for his bout with Bobby Stack. Burnsed weighed in within the limits in his second attempt.
