UFC 111 Weigh In Results

UFC 111 Weigh Ins complete for fights on Saturday, March 27

 

UFC 111 is set for Saturday night, March 27 with televised fights beginning at 9 pm ET on Spike TV and the PPV fights starting at 10 pm ET and all fighters have weighed in for the big event. UFC 111 is headlined by two title fights, the UFC Welterweight Championship fight between Georges St-Pierre and top contender Dan Hardy as well as the Interim UFC Heavyweight Championship fight between Frank Mir and Shane Carwin.

The UFC 111 weigh ins took place on Friday night in Newark, New Jersey with no real surprises on the main card. Both Georges St-Pierre and Dan Hardy weighed in at 170 pounds while Shane Carwin tipped the scales at the heavyweight maximum of 265 pounds. Carwin's opponent, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir, continues his efforts to bulk up also weighing in at 265 pounds. Just two fights ago at UFC 100 Mir weighed 20 pounds less at 245 lbs.

Rounding out the PPV card, both Fabricio Camoes and Kurt Pellegrino weighed in at 155 pounds, Jon Fitch was a pound heavy at 171 with Ben Saunders a pound light at 169 pounds, and Mark Bocek came in at 154 with Jim Miller weighing 155 pounds.

On the Spike TV televised card Nate Diaz made weight at 171 pounds while his opponent, Rory Markham, came in 7 pounds heavy at 177 lbs. Sherdog is reporting that the two have agreed to a catchweight bout to avoid problems with Markham's inability to cut the weight needed. Both Matt Brown and Ricardo Almeida tipped the scales at 170 pounds.

On the preliminary card, Tomasz Drwal and Rousimar Palhares made weight at 185 lbs and 186 lbs respectively, Jared Hamman weighed in at 205 pounds with opponent Rodney Wallace at 206 lbs, and finally Matthew Riddle was 170 pounds with Greg Soto also at 170 lbs.
