UFC 112 Weigh In ResultsUFC 112 Weigh Ins complete for fights on Saturday, April 10
UFC 112 is set for Saturday night, April 10 with the live PPV televised fights during the day and the standard PPV broadcast beginning at 10 pm ET. All fighters have weighed in for the big UFC 112 event which is headlined by two title fights, the UFC Middleweight Championship fight between Anderson Silva and Demian Maia and the UFC Lightweight title fight featuring Champion BJ Penn taking on contender Frankie Edgar. The UFC 112 weigh ins took place on Friday in Abu Dhabi with no real surprises on the entire fight card. Anderson Silva weighed in at exactly 185 pounds with middleweight title contender Demian Maia a pound lower at 184 lbs. In the Lightweight title fight we saw the same results with the champ BJ Penn weighing exactly 155 pounds and the contender Frankie Edgar a pound under at 154. The other fight getting significant publicity on this card features Matt Hughes at 170 lbs and Renzo Gracie at 171. Rafael do Anjos came in at 156 pounds with his opponent Terry Etim two pounds lower at 154 lbs and both Kendall Grove and Mark Munoz tipped the scales at 185 pounds to round out the main card.
The preliminary card features six fights featuring two lightweight fights, two welterweight fights, one in the light heavyweight division and a single heavyweight fight. Phil Davis weighed in at 204 lbs with opponent Alexander Gustafsson weighing 205 pounds and Mostapha Al Turk 235 lbs giving up significant weight to TUF 10 veteran Jon Madsen at 252 lbs. In the two lightweight fights John Gunderson weighed 154 with Paul Taylor 155 lbs while Paul Kelly weighed in at 156 pounds and opponent Matt Veach 155 lbs. Finally, in the two welterweight fights Nick Osipczak tipped the scales at 170 lbs and Rick Story at 169 while Brad Blackburn weighed 170lbs with opponent DaMarques Johnson weighing 170 pounds.
