UFC 113 Weigh In ResultsUFC 113 Weigh Ins complete for fights on Saturday, May 8
UFC 113 is set for Saturday night, May 8 with the live PPV televised fights beginning at 10 pm ET. All fighters have weighed in for the big UFC 113 event which is headlined a 205 pound title fight, the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida facing Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in a rematch of their UFC 104 battle. It was that fight at UFC 104 where many feel Shogun was robbed of the belt in a unanimous decision 48-47 scoring by all three judges. The UFC 113 weigh ins took place on Friday in Montreal with no real surprises on the entire fight card. Both Lyoto Machida and Shogun Rua weighed in at exactly 205 pounds. Similarly, the battle between Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley had the same result with both fighters hitting their target weight of 170 pounds. Of course the news this week was that the winner of the Koscheck vs. Daley fight will coach The Ultimate Fighter 12 and ultimately get a title shot at UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre. While neither are considered to be #2 in our UFC rankings of the 170-pound division, both have impressive resumes nonetheless. The remainder of the televised card features exciting match-ups including the highly anticipated Kimbo Slice versus Matt Mitrione fight. Kimbo weighed in at 225 lbs with Mitrione having a 28 pound advantage at 253 lbs. Alan Belcher tipped the scales at 186 pounds with opponent Patrick Cote at 184 lbs and both Jeremy Stephens and Sam Stout weighed in at 155 pounds.
The preliminary card features six fights featuring three welterweight fights, two middleweight bouts and a single heavyweight fight. Joey Beltran weighed in at 239 lbs with opponent Tim Hague at the max 266 pounds in the heavyweight affair. Joe Doerksen was 186 lbs with opponent Tom Lawlor 185 pounds, and Jason MacDonald and John Salter 185 lbs in the other middleweight battle. In the three welterweight fights Marcus Davis and Jonathan Goulet both tipped the scales at 169 lbs for their fight while Mike Guymon and Yoshiyuki Yoshida were both 170 lbs. In the other welterwight bout TJ Grant weighed in at 169 pounds for his fight with Johny Hendricks who was 170 pounds.
