The Ultimate Fighter 11 concluded the TUF 11 finale on June 19, 2010, as the UFC crowned a new Ultimate Fighter Champion and award the 6-digit contract to fight in the UFC's famed Octagon. Our recap of the televised fights from the finale are below and we have also list the TUF 11 finale results for reference. Jaime Yager vs. Rich Antonito

Team Liddell’s Rich Antonito made the most of his UFC return against Team Ortiz’s Jaime Yager in the night’s first televised bout on Spike TV with a 2 nd round (4:25)TKO.

Antonito and Yager fought fairly even for the first five minutes. American Top Team’s Antonito relied on a technical approach landing mostly counter strikes after Yager came rushing at him. Antonito started to become comfortable late in the 2 nd round using his combinations to take charge. Along with his counter striking game plan, Antonito took advantage of Yager after he showed significant signs of fatigue. An Antonito flurry put Yager to the floor where the Team Liddell fighter took control of his back and reigned down with countless strikes to the side of Yager’s head. The referee stepped in and put a stop to the action after Yager was unable to answer the punches.

Antonito is now 8-3 overall in his MMA career and officially 1-0 inside the octagon. He should get another opportunity in the organization, but Yager’s future is undetermined. He falls to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the UFC.

Spencer Fisher vs. Dennis Siver

Two UFC lightweight veterans went the distance in what turned out to be a modified kickboxing bout inside the octagon. German Denis Siver was able to outlast Team Sityodtong’s Spencer “The King” Fisher with scores of (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) for a unanimous decision victory on The Ultimate Fighter 11 finale main card.

Both fighters mixed it up on their feet throughout the three-round affair, but it was Siver who got the best of it. It was midway through the 2 nd frame that Siver, who suffered a cut in the 1 st round from a Fisher head butt, started to put together some well-timed combinations that included low kicks, body kicks and punches to Fisher’s head and body that earned him the bulk of his points. Fisher was getting some of his strikes through as well, however Siver was consistently wrecking damage on Fisher. The first round could have gone either way, but the second and third rounds clearly went to Siver as Fisher showed flashes of fatigue.

Siver moves to 16-7 in his career and over the .500 mark (5-4) fighting under the UFC banner. The win is his fifth out of his last six bouts. Fisher falls to 23-6 overall and 8-5 in the UFC as he drops back-to-back bouts for the first time in his career.

Chris Leben vs. Aaron Simpson

One of the original participants on The Ultimate Fighter, Chris Leben, picked up an important 2 nd round (4:17) TKO victory over the previously undefeated Aaron Simpson in a TUF 11 Finale main card bout on Saturday night.

This bout had potential from the get-go as both fighters continued to push forward, although each had their own strategy in mind. Simpson, who usually works with a methodical approach, was looking to land a big punch and capitalize that way, whereas Leben, who is usually looking for a one punch KO, took a patient approach and picked his opportunities carefully. A 1 st round that could have gone to either fighter was followed by a 2 nd round that was dominated by Leben. He took the momentum and ran with it late in the round stumbling Simpson with a left hook that had him rocked. Referee Josh Rosenthal didn’t need to see anymore and quickly called a stop to the action.

Leben is now in the process of turning around his career, moving to 20-6 overall and 10-5 inside the UFC. He has won back-to-back bouts and four of his last six. Simpson drops his first career bout and moves to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in the UFC.

Matt Hamill vs. Keith Jardine

A pair of TUF veterans went at it in a three round action-packed brawl in the light-heavyweight division in a co-main event featured at the TUF 11 finale. Season 3’s Matt “The Hammer” Hamill was his usual self and picked apart Season 2 participant Keith “The Dean of Mean” Jardine in a bout that lived up to its expectations. Hamill was the victor winning via majority decision (29-27, 29-27, 28-28).

Jardine came out and put on a striking show during the 1 st round finishing with a well-planned combination that probably earned him the round. In the 2 nd round, Jardine accidently poked Hamill in the eye and was deducted a point by referee Herb Dean. He was not able to get the finish he needed during the final round as Hamill worked his takedowns and ground and pound to earn the final round and take advantage on the judges’ scorecards.

Hamill moves his record to a solid 9-2 overall and an 8-2 record while fighting in the octagon; he has now won four in a row. Jardine falls to 15-8-1 overall and is below the .500 mark for the first time (6-7) inside the octagon. While he owns career victories over the likes of Brandon Vera, Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griffin, he hasn’t been able to do any winning as of late. He has dropped four consecutive and five of his last six.

Court McGee vs. Kris McCray

Team Liddell’s Court McGee was crowned the TUF 11 Ultimate Fighter on Saturday night with a 2 nd round (3:41) submission of Team Ortiz’s Kris McCray in the middleweight finale. McGee will receive a six-figure UFC contract as the tournament winner.

Much of the 1 st round was fought while in the clinch and on the ground, a style that favors that of Kris McCray. McCray was able to tie up McGee for much of the round while in the standing position, however when the bout went to the floor, it didn’t go as planned for the Washington D.C.-based fighter. McGee landed in top position each time they fell to the floor, and from that position, he dominated with his ground-and-pound skills landing elbows to his opponents face. During the 2 nd round, McGee converted on a couple of big takedowns, the second proved to be the determining factor. McGee slammed McCray to the floor and immediately took his back. From that position, he slipped an arm under McCray’s chin and tightened the rear naked choke submission to earn the victory.

With the victory, McGee improves his overall MMA record to 9-1 and is officially 1-0 inside the UFC. McCray suffers his first career defeat and falls to 5-1 overall and 0-1 in the UFC. McGee looks to be at the beginning of a long career inside the octagon; McCray should get another opportunity to fight and earn his first UFC victory.
