Strikeforce “Heavy Artillery” Showtime Play-by-Play: Roger Gracie (2-0) vs. Kevin Randleman (17-14)

1st round – Mike England will be the third man in the cage for this light-heavyweight bout.  Randleman hits with a nice inside leg kick.  He hits with another one in the exact same place.  Gracie misses with a right hook and quickly dashes backwards.  Gracie tries to clinch but Randleman escapes and squares off again.  Gracie hits with a left jab to the head of Randleman.  Randleman goes again for the inside leg kick and hits.  Gracie is putting a jab in the face of Randleman, but is not connecting.  Gracie grazes Randleman with a knee but gets caught in a standing guillotine attemept by Gracie.  Randleman gets his head out and presses Gracie against the cage.  The fight goes down but quickly both fighters are back up in a standing position.  Gracie is pushing his punches towards the face of Randleman but not connecting with too many.  Unofficial Scoring – Gracie 10-9

2nd round – Both fighters look fresh for the middle of this three round bout.  Right away, Gracie continues to push his strikes in the face of Randleman.  Gracie rushes Randleman and connects with a right hook to the body.  Randleman is tied up by Gracie and then pushed against the fence.  He reverses position and goes for a single leg takedown.  Gracie gets a body lock while Randleman continues to go for the takedown.  Gracie transitions and connects with a knee that floors Randleman.  He jumps on top and Randleman scrambles to a bad position.  Gracie is mounted and takes his back where he levels him out and gets the arm under Randleman’s chin.  Randleman wrestles with Gracie’s arm and is surviving for the time being.  Gracie gets the arm underneath the chin again and this time it is tight.  Within seconds, Randleman taps and the fight is over.
