1st round – Miller is on the offensive with his right hand and leg kicks. Miller goes for the body but Maia avoids his punch. Maia hits with a left hand but Miller isnt fazed. Maia clinches with Miller and tries to get the fight on the ground. Maia is attempting to trip Miller to the cnavas but Miller defends. Maia puts a knee in Miller’s gut while pressing him against the fence. Miller seperates and tags Maia with a right hand. Miller hits Maia with an inside kick. Maia throws and misses with a wild left hand. Maia hits with a leg kick and follws that up with a double leg takedown. Miller scrambles to his feet but gets hit below the belt with a knee. The ref halts the bout to give Miller time to recover. After only a minute or so, the fight is back on and Miller hits with a low leg kick. Miller hits with a high kick and a right hand to the body. Miller throws a combo but Maia avoids the contact. Maia throws a left hand but clinches instead. The fight gets to the ground but only for a second as Miller gets back to his feet. 2nd round – The 2nd round is underway and Miller comes out with a right hand that misses. Miller is hit with a body kick and then slips on the octagon floor. Maia is patient and avoids a combo by Miller. Maia pops Miller with a right hand as he rushes in. Miller hits with a low leg kick but gets hit with a right hand. Maia lands a big right hand and a left hand counter punch. Miler hits Maia with a leg kick to the body. Maia hits Miller again as he rushes in, this time with a left hand. Miller sets up with a low leg kick to the body of Maia. Maia hits with a left hand as he backpedals. Maia and Miller trade right hands as they close in on each other. Miller moves in and Maia pops him with a jab to the face. Maia finds a spot for a left hand but misses with a right hand. Miller moves and tries to hit Maia’s body. 3rd round – It looks as if the 3rd may be the deciding round and Miller hits with a right. Maia gets a left hand through and then he presses Miller against the octagon fence. They seperate and Maia gets clipped with a right hand. Maia stands up and drags Miller to the ground. Maia is in Miller’s guard and stands up pounding on his body at the same time. Maia lands a right hand but Miller gets back to his feet and they square off again. Miller gets Maia to the ground but Maia reverses position and is now on top. Maia is trying to get Miller to the center of the octagon so he doesnt have the fence to help him get up. Miller is using a high guard but it looks to be ineffective. Miller gets back to the fence where Maia is overwhelming him. Maia begins to hammer away at Miller’s head. Maia is cut and bleeding above his eye but it doesnt seem to be bothering him. Maia is working the body of Miller now. Maia is keeping Miller on his back and Miller is just hanging on. Miller is threatening with a triangle choke but it gets defended.
