1st round - Faber begins the round with landing several strikes to the body. Wineland looks to be throwing hay makers instead of technical strikes. Faber gets the fight to the ground and begins his assault from top position. Wineland falls into full guard and tries to keep Faber from passing. For the most part, Faber stays in Wineland’s full guard and delivers several strikes from top position. The end of the round comes and Faber dominated the entire 5 minutes. 2nd Round – Faber comes out and hits with back to back leg kicks. Wineland misses with a couple of punches from the standing position. Faber rushes in a gets the takedown placing Wineland on his back. Faber stays closes to the body of Wineland and begins to deliver ground and pound strikes. Wineland is trying to get up but Faber hammers away with punch after punch. Wineland is trying to control Faber’s arms but cant slow him that much. Faber now hits with elbow after elbow. To Wineland’s credit, the Faber ground and pound is landing but doesnt have much power behind them. Wineland remains busy from the bottom but Faber dominates with him ground and pound. 3rd Round – The finale round and both fighters look good coming out for the final round. Both fighters are having a hard time landing much. They decide to clinch and Wineland tries to take the action to the mat. Faber defends and shakes off Wineland’s attempts. Wineland has double under hooks but only for a moment, Faber shakes off and stands in front of Wineland. Wineland lands a couple of rights and Faber fights back with a series of his own. He then hits Winland with a hard right hand. Faber gets the takedown and slams Wineland on his back. Faber hits with a couple of elbows from the top position. Faber continues to hammer away with his ground and pound. WIneland hangs in there and waits out the end of the round. Unofficial Scoring – Faber 10-9; Faber 30-27
