Anthony “Rumble” Johnson is an American mixed martial artist currently competing in the Welterweight division of the UFC. Johnson started competing professionally in 2006 and notched up three straight victories, earning him an invitation to the UFC. He won his UFC debut in spectacular fashion, disposing of Chad Reiner in only 13 seconds at UFC Fight Night: Stout vs. Fisher. This victory led him to a bout with the experienced Rich Clementi. In only his fifth professional fight, experience did prove to be a factor as he was submitted by Clementi by way of Rear Naked Choke. He came back with an impressive KO victory over Tommy Speer at UFC Fight Night: Florian vs Lauzon. His next fight had a controversial ending; he was standing and exchanging blows with Kevin Burns when an inadvertent eye poke from Burns caused Johnson to fall to the ground in agony and unable to continue the fight. The fight went down as a TKO loss for Johnson and this called for a rematch. In the rematch it was Johnson who emerged the victor with a KO in the third round which earned him knockout of the night honors. He last fought against Luigi Fioravanti in February 2009 and stopped him late in the first round via TKO.
