Christiane Santos, often referred to by her nickname, Cyborg, is one of the most popular and highest-ranked female fighters in the world. She fought for the now-defunct Elite XC promotion from July to October of 2008 and now fights for the California-based Strikeforce promotion.

Santos is currently riding a seven-fight winning streak with all but two of the wins coming by way of knockout or submission. She is known for her aggressive, attacking style and is considered to be the most exciting female fighter in the world today, though she lacks the mainstream, cross-media appeal of Gina Carano.
