Forrest "The Meat Cleaver" Petz is a MMA welterweight fighting out of the Cleveland, Ohio area for the Strong Style Fight Team. Petz is a 7-fight veteran of the UFC and has faced notable names including Dan Hardy, Marcus Davis, Luigi Fioravanti, Josh Neer, Charles "Krazy Horse" Bennett, Victor O'Donnell, TJ Grant, Sam Morgan, Chad Reiner, Daniel Roberts, Brian Foster and more.

Petz' interest in fighting came from watching a UFC video at the video store and he said he was "hooked right away" in a February 2010 interview with ProFighting-fans.com. He then went to the gym that is now called Strong Style in Independence, Ohio and began training. His first career fight, one that Petz says "you won't find that on Sherdog" took place in the early 2000s in Moundsville, West Virginia in an open-ended barn where he defeated Adam "El Torro" Rivera by Unanimous Decision.
