"Big" John Hawk is a product of the Strong Style Fight Team in Independence, Ohio fighting as a Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight for the NAAFS in the Cleveland, OH area. Hawk is the former NAAFS Heavyweight Champion having defeated Joe McCall for the belt in February 2010. Hawk did not defend his belt and chose to drop to 205 poundsand will remain as a Light Heavyweight moving forward. Hawk was undefeated as a pro heading into his June 5, 2010 fight with Doug Sparks but he was forced to tap out with 8 seconds left in the 3rd round suffering his first professional defeat. Hawk is now 4-2 as a pro after dropping a decision to Dan Spohn in his second appearance at 205 lbs at NAAFS Rock 'N Rumble on August 28, 2010, but he bounced back in defeating Team Throwdown's Josh Watson by KO at NAAFS: Caged Fury 14 in February 2011. Hawk went 6-0-1 as an amateur.
