Josh “The Dentist” Neer is one of the most underrated Lightweights in the UFC. Neer trains out of the Miletich camp in Iowa and has nearly 40 pro fights. With two solid skill sets, standing up and grappling, Neer has recently displayed improvement as a fighter especially showing craftiness off his back.

Neer has been fighting since 2003 in a variety of different organizations. Outside the UFC he holds notable wins over Forrest Petz, Derrick Noble and Kyle Jensen. His first stint in the UFC, in 2006, Neer went 2-2 with wins over lightweight contenders Joe Stevenson and Melvin Guillard and losses to Josh Burkman and Nick Diaz.

Neer fought his way back into the UFC in 2008. Upon his return Neer defeated Din Thomas but lost to Nate Diaz. Neer has a win over The Ultimate Fighter 6 winner Mac Danzig. Recently, a loss to Kurt Pellegrino has slowed Josh on his route to possible contendership.
