Dos Santos bounced back with a victory, earning him a call from the UFC. “Cigano” made his UFC debut in Illinois at UFC 90 taking on, at the time, Top-Five heavyweight contender Fabricio Werdum. This fight announced Junior Dos Santos in to the UFC heavyweight division as he knocked out Werdum in less than 90 seconds earning him “Knockout of the Night” honours. His next fight came at UFC 95 in London, England against Dutch submission wizard Stefan Struve. Similar to his previous fight, he exploded with a barrage of punches early in the first dropping Struve before the referee stepped in and called an end to the fight at 54 seconds of round one. Dos Santos is now slated to face Mirko “CroCop” Filipovic at UFC 103 in what is set to be an explosive bout.
