Torrance Taylor is a product of the MMA hotbed in the Cleveland, OH area. Taylor is a veteran of both the Strikeforce and Bellator promotions as well as Northeast Ohio's NAAFS and UMMAXX organizations. Throughout his career Taylor has showed flashes of brillance but he has been streaky throughout his first 16 professional fights. After a 2-3-1 start to his pro career Taylor was able to run off 3 straight wins including a win over UFC veteran Jason Dent. After defeating Dent, Taylor won 2 of 3 fights before a 15 month stretch which saw him lose 3 of 4 fights including the UMMAXX Lightweight title bout to Glenn Brown in March 2010. However Taylor, who recently earned a business degree from Cleveland State University, bounced back in August 2010 by dominating UFC & WEC veteran Shonie Carter at Bellator 25 in front of Carter's hometown crowd in Chicago, IL. In both of his 2010 fights Torrance Taylor was sponsored by Intimidation MMA Clothing. Not even in his mid-20s, Taylor has proven that when he fully devotes himself to the sport of Mixed Martial Arts he can reach the top of the sport with his wins over UFC veterans Dent and Carter.
