SD- How strange was it training with the guy you were about to fight? RN- It was weird because I became good friends with Justin.
SD- What concerned you about Wren coming into the fight? RN- My biggest concerned was taking Justin's dream away.
SD- Your thoughts on Matt’s health issues and his drama? RN- I think his head issues were more drama and more TV time than his head being swollen.
SD- Nice chin ups by the way. RN- I was upset that they don't use the TV magic to make me look good, but like I said before, "There is always two sides."
SD- How about the chicken prank? RN- The prank really wasn't funny because those chickens looked like they were on their death bed. The only funny thing was Rampage said, "You have my cock in your hand" to Rashad.
SD- What was everyone’s reaction to Dana White showing up? RN- When he showed up at the house I figured it was the 'are you and F'ing fighter' speech or to see if Matt was fighting.
SD- How about Kimbo giving you credit and dogging on Justin? RN- I thought that was cool, but he just pointing out the facts.
SD- In the early part of the 1st round his punches were giving you problems. Did that surprise you? RN- In the first round I wasn't having any problems with Justin. I controlled the fight with jab and hook.
SD- You started to get your distance in the 2nd half of the 1st round. Speak about that. RN- I just wanted to control the fight without hurting Justin or putting him down.
SD- What were your thoughts and how did you feel at the end of the 1st? RN- I felt like I won the first because most of the punches hit arms or air so I felt pretty good.
SD- A very good 2nd round. The jab was working well for you. Speak about your adjustments. RN- I really didn't adjust except to push the pace and mentally try to break Justin.
SD- Congrats on a big victory. You dominated the 2nd round. Talk about Dana once again giving you little credit... RN- If Dana wants me to lose then great. I did tell you I am the official suck meter of the UFC, so everyone needs to beat me?
SD- You are one win away from the big show. What was going through your head at that point? RN- I was thinking after the fight, "is Justin okay?"
SD- Your thoughts on Madsen vs. Schaub when it was 1st announced? RN- I thought it was a classic matchup with striker versus grappler.
SD- You mentioned a few weeks back in a joking manner that you didn’t want to receive threats so you gave Kimbo props. Did you actually receive death threats? RN- Yes, I received death threats from that fight. I remember telling Dana and he said 'welcome to TV.'
SD- Thanks Roy and once again congrats on the big victory.
