The Ultimate Fighter Season 10: Kimbo Slice

Kimbo Slice confirmed to be on TUF 10

Originally scheduled for Middleweights and Heavyweights, Dana White changed gears midstream making The Ultimate Fighter Season 10 only for Heavyweights. Season 10 will no doubt be one of the most popular seasons to date as outspoken Rampage Jackson will coach against former Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans. At UFC 96, Rampage challenged Evans and stated there will be some heavy black on black violence. Unfortunately the much anticipated match up was halted due to an injury Jackson sustained.

To add even more hype to the show, the YouTube sensation Kimbo Slice will be in the house. UFC President Dana White has often criticized Slice stating he was bad for the sport and a fraud. Prior to Slice’s last fight, White stated UFC Lightweight Champion BJ Penn could handle Slice. Slice of course lost his much ballyhooed fight with Seth Petruzelli which sent Elite XC packing. This was the last time we have heard from Kimbo.

Slice had other options to earn a pay check, including boxing but decided to go the route of the extremely popular show The Ultimate Fighter. This venture could end the Kimbo phenomenon or if he performs well send him to the sport’s largest stage.

In the end, despite all of the verbal grenades White hurled Kimbo’s way, Kimbo’s immense notoriety won out just as it did with EliteXC. It should be an interesting show which will debut on SpikeTV September 16th.

Scott Dryden confirmed Slice is in fact in TUF’s house with his manager Mike Imber.
