Renko Styranka is a 46 year old author and writer living on Vancouver Island. Way, way back in the 80’s he spent about five years boxing and power lifting. With the advent of the UFC in the early 90’s he rented or purchased every BJJ video he could get his hands on, however, a bone disease precluded any serious pursuit of fighting. He was never nearly as tough as he thought he was anyway. Few people are. But he’s been watching MMA since UFC 1 and comes at the sport from a unique angle. He spends his spare time writing hard-boiled fiction starring mixed martial artists, stories so gritty you could use them to file down your hardened, yellow toenails. Curt Heinrichs is a pre-school teacher by day and fight fan by night. Curt has a Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and is currently pursuing a degree in education, all while watching every mixed martial arts fight and college wrestling match he possibly can.
